AGSA Meeting
The next Anthropology Graduate Student Association meeting will be Wednesday, April 4th at 11 AM in the Grad Lounge.


AGSA Coffee Hour
The Anthropology Department and AGSA invite students and faculty to come to the next coffee hour. Date and Time to be announced.


AGSA Spring Speaker Series
The following anthropologists have been invited for the Spring Speaker Series:

Archaeology: Bettina Arnold (Wisconsin-Milwaukee)- pre-Roman Iron Age, Celtic studies, gender, mortuary archaeology, alcohol and feasting, complex societies, history of archaeology. Dr. Bettina Arnold will give two presentations. The first will be for graduate students on Thursday March 29th at 3:30 pm in MFAC 355. She will also give a public lecture on Friday March 30th at 4PM in MFAC 351, followed by a reception in the Totem Pole Room.
Cultural: Richard Wilson (UConn)- Political and legal anthropology, human rights, political violence, history and memory, South Africa and Central America.
Physical: Susan Anton (NYU)- skeletal biology; evolution of genus Homo; dispersal; evolutionary morphology; human osteology and anatomy; growth, development and life history patterns.

Reading of "Shamans of the Foye Tree"
