Honors & Awards - Phi Beta Kappa

Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and most prestigious honors society, established on Dec. 5, 1776, at the College of William & Mary. To be selected into the Omicron Chapter at UB, students should be in a liberal arts degree program, B.A. or B.S. (but not B.F.A.), must maintain minimum 3.75 g.p.a. over 85 credit hours or 3.50 for 100 credit hours, with at least 32 hours taken at UB; and students must demonstrate breadth in the liberal arts, having completed all UB's general education requirements, and other courses outside their major.

Selection and offers of induction are made by a committee of the Omicron Chapter, Barbara Bono, Department of English, President.
