Recent Fellowships Bestowed:

Dr. Deborah Reed-Danahay has been awarded a Yip Fellowship at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, for Michaelmas term 2012.  She will be in residence there during her leave in fall 2012, working on two book manuscripts.

Dr. Peter Biehl has been awarded the Chancellor's Award for Internationalization - read more about his winning project here.

Dr. Ana Mariella Bacigalupo has been named a 2012-2013 Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study at Harvard University! Read more about her winning project here. Additionally, Dr. Bacigalupo has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Toronto's Latin American Scholars Program since last fall.

Congratulations and thanks to Dr. Ann McElroy and Dr. Phillips Stevens for their 41 and 40 years (respectively) of dedicated service to the Department of Anthropology and the University at Buffalo!

Dr. Ted Steegmann has been named the winner of the Human Biology Association's 2012 Franz Boas Distinguished Achievement Award!

Dr. Ann McElroy has been awarded with 2012 Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award from the Society for Applied Anthropology!
